Fire Extinguisher Inspection in Beauce
Across the Beauce, up and down Highways 173 and 73, we know the shops we serve: manufacturers, machine and welding shops, woodworking shops, garages, dealerships and the main-street stores and restaurants in Sainte-Marie, Saint-Georges and Beauceville. Canuck Santé & Sécurité inspects and services your portable fire extinguishers to NFPA-10 and the CNPI. That covers the monthly visual inspection, the annual maintenance, the 6-year internal examination, the 12-year hydrostatic test, and recharge when needed. We also confirm the right extinguisher is matched to the actual hazard, since a welding shop and a restaurant kitchen don't call for the same class of agent. Every building keeps its compliance record, certificates and deadlines in the Canuck360 portal.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the monthly inspection and the annual maintenance?
The monthly visual inspection is a quick check: the extinguisher is in place, pressure is good, the pin and seal are intact, and nothing is damaged. The annual maintenance is a full check done by our technician to NFPA-10, with an updated service tag. We can train your staff to handle the monthly check and take care of the annual ourselves.
Are my extinguishers right for my hazards?
We check this on every visit. A machine or welding shop, a garage with flammable products, and a commercial kitchen each need a different class and size of extinguisher. We flag where coverage is short or where a unit is the wrong choice, with the NFPA-10 reference that applies.
How often do my extinguishers need to be checked?
NFPA-10 calls for a visual inspection every month and full maintenance once a year. Depending on the unit type, an internal examination is due at 6 years and a hydrostatic test at 12 years. We tell you which deadlines apply to your units.
